GIRLS' BRIGADE | WHAT TO EXPECT
You can join at any time of the year! We meet on Wednesdays at 6 pm at Mount Isa Baptist Church.

GB's vision is: Girls' lives transformed, God's world enriched.
Our aim is to: Help girls become followers of the Lord Jesus Christ and through self control, reverence and a sense of responsibility to find true enrichment of life.
Girls' Brigade has been operating around the world for over 125 years, and in Mount Isa for 50 years.
There are four groups in Girls’ Brigade; Cadets (4-8 years old), Juniors (7-11 years old), Seniors (10-14 years old), and Pioneers (13-18 years old). Girls are able to join the age-appropriate group anytime once they have started school. The girls in each group work towards awards that are received at the end of each year. The awards involve girls completing achievements that focus on spiritual, educational, social, and physical themes.

We enjoy weekly devotions/bible studies, group games, skills-based activities, crafts, cooking, and much more. Each age group works toward a number of "achievements" each year. Our achievements focus on the girls' educational, social and physical development, with the older girls also having the opportunity to develop leadership skills. Spiritual development is interwoven into all aspects of our program.
From time to time the girls are given the opportunity to attend local company camps, sleepovers, or excursions. Pioneers (grades 9-12) have the chance to attend state and national camps and courses.
Term fees are $44 per term per child. Invoices will be sent to parents by email, payment can be made by direct deposit. (Payment details below)
