A NOTE FROM PASTOR ROYDON
Build your life on Christ
The Christian life is not for living alone. When God saves us, He joins us to His family - the local church. In the church, we hear the Word of God preached, we share the Lord’s Supper and baptism, we pray together, and we care for one another. These are God’s gifts to help us grow strong in faith (Acts 2:42). In the church, we carry each other’s burdens, encourage one another, and help each other to love and obey God (Heb. 10:24–25). The church is the house of God and the pillar of truth (1 Tim. 3:15). Let us give ourselves with joy to the worship, the work, and the witness of the church, because in doing this, we build our lives on Christ, our sure foundation. “So, then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God.” - Ephesians 2:19 “Even in the smallest acts of kindness, God’s love shines the brightest. You may never know the full impact of your prayers, your smile, or your helping hand — but heaven sees it all. Keep sowing seeds of love, for in due season, you will reap a harvest of joy.” Let’s walk into this week with hearts open, hands ready to serve, and eyes fixed on Jesus, the One who never fails. The Power of a Small Seed Sometimes we underestimate the impact of small acts of kindness. Just as a mustard seed grows into a great tree, a simple smile, a prayer, or a helping hand can change someone’s day—and even their life. This week, look for opportunities to plant seeds of hope. You may never see the full harvest, but God does. When the Path Feels Uncertain Life doesn’t always give us a clear map. We may face seasons where the road ahead is foggy, and our steps feel unsure. In those moments, remember: God’s Word is a lamp to our feet, not a floodlight for the whole journey. Trust Him for the next step, and He will guide you through. The Gift of Being Present In our busy world, presence is one of the greatest gifts we can give. Whether it’s sitting with a friend in silence, listening without distraction, or simply showing up for someone in need—these moments reflect the heart of Christ. This week, slow down and be fully present with those God places in your path. |

PRAYER MEETINGEach Sunday at 8:45 am before the 9:00 am service The idea is that if you just want to pop in, say a quick prayer, and leave, that’s okay, but if we as a church want to see the Lord moving in our church, if we want growth in our spiritual lives and growth in the church, that is where it needs to start. 2Chronicles 7:14: “If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land" |

AN UPDATE FROM COOKTOWN BAPTIST CHURCHThere has been a delay!!! Work on restoring their roof was due to start last week, Monday, 9th February 2026. However, due to the heavy rain forecast for that upcoming week, the roof work had to be delayed for two weeks. Last week, the road between Cooktown and Cairns was blocked off due to rivers rising over the road. Pastor Morgan will keep us updated. Please keep them, the continued safety of their building, and the scheduled work and workers in your prayers. |
