NEW MEMBERS

David and Ruth have applied for church membership. They have since been interviewed, and the matter was discussed at the September leader's meeting. The leaders are happy to welcome this family into membership and will do so at an upcoming worship service. Praise God for all of the new members this year!

PASTOR'S RETREAT

Vanessa and I will be attending a pastor's retreat in the Atherton Tablelands on the last weekend of September. If need be, I will organise to play a video sermon at this service (1 October).

Men's Hangar Night will be on this Tuesday at 6:30 pm at the Salvo's Hangar at the airport. The cost is $10. Please come along and support this great ministry and connect with other fellow believers to hear how God is working in their lives. 

Please note there will be NO men's bible study group this evening. The men are encouraged to come join in the Hangar Night. 

We are seeking expressions for anyone who would like to help with the administration position while the Beard family is in South Sudan this year. The position will need to be filled from September 25th until November 27th. There is also the opportunity for this to become a permanent part-time position once the Beards move to the mission field full-time in April 2024 (or earlier).

If you would like more information, please speak with the Leadership Team or Sarah. 

The Combined Churches of Mount Isa service is happening this Saturday evening at 7 pm. 
Please bring a plate to share for supper after the service. 

IF YOU ARE INVOLVED WITH THE WORSHIP TEAM THERE WILL BE A PRACTICE HAPPENING THIS WEDNESDAY EVENING AT 6 PM AT THE CHURCH. 
There will also be an additional practice on Saturday afternoon at 5 pm for those who cannot make it on Wednesday. Dinner will be provided for those who come to the Saturday practice. 

Please note that there will also be a practice for the regular Sunday Service at 4pm for those who are rostered on for our Sunday Worship Team. 

We will have a special morning-tea after the service on the 17th of September to farewell the Beards as they head off on the next mission trip to South Sudan.

Please bring a plate to share.

Men's Discipleship Course - Tuesday nights 7 pm at the church  | Contact Tim Grant

The men's discipleship group is currently working its way through a series called "Conquer." Helping men see the various strategies the evil uses to cause men to get trapped in sexual sin, as well as providing Biblical counsel to return to or maintain sexual purity.

KYB is now on MONDAY evening from 7 pm at The Jones' house, 8 Epsilon Ave, Sunset. If you would like to join this group, please speak with Christie. 

This term we are exploring "Christ in the Old Testament". 

FunTime will be hosting a Toy Exchange  on Saturday the 16th of September. 
If you would like to participate, please bring your toys to exchange with other toys of your choice (subject to availability).

Thank you so much for the generous contributions you have been making to our Community Pantry. Over the past month, we have seen a decline in the number of people needing assistance through food hampers. We are pleased to say that the pantry is looking quite full at the moment and we are putting a temporary pause on the need for food until we start distributing this food. If you know of any families in need of assistance, please point them in our direction. 

We will let you know once we open the need up again, however, if you would still like to donate, please bring in your donations and we will add them to the pantry.
