The Pastoral Search Team met on Wednesday 4 December 2024 and also on Saturday 7^th December 2024.

Last week we enjoyed our visit from Ps Roydon Burns. We hope many of you had the opportunity to spend time with Roydon at one of the events he participated in. We have experienced some internet issues at the church but nonetheless hope to soon upload Roydon’s sermon to you tube for the benefit of those that were away.

The Pastoral Search Team is very pleased to unanimously recommend to the members of Mount Isa Baptist Church that Roydon Burns be called to the role of Senior Pastor.

The vote on this decision will be held after church on Sunday 15 December. All members are encouraged to come along and vote. Non-members while unable to vote are invited to observe the proceedings.

It is essential that you are all reminded to share with us directly any feedback, questions, concerns, you have about Roydon or the pastoral call process – positive or otherwise. We especially invite anyone that is for any reason hesitating to vote “yes” to this pastoral call to share their perspective with us. It is our aim that all members come to the meeting on 15 December having made their decision regarding their vote as there will not be an opportunity for further discussion or questions at the meeting. So we urge you to take the opportunity to address all unanswered questions in the coming week or so.

There are two lists on the table at the back of the church for you to put your name down and select what you would like to bring to share for our Christmas Day Lunch together.

Please write your name next to your selection and then there is a tear-away section for you to take with you as a reminder of what you would like to bring.

If you are unable to bring anything, please join us anyway, there is always plenty of food to go around. We can't wait to see you there! Thank you.
