PASTORAL SEARCH UPDATEThe Pastoral Search Team met on Sunday 10th November 2024.
Our discussions with our pastoral candidate, Roydon Burns is ongoing. Roydon will be flying from Westonaria (near Johannesburg), South Africa, to Mount Isa to visit with us for one week, arriving late on Sunday, 24 November 2024.
You will have a chance to meet Roydon at: - Mens' Bible Study Tuesday evening 26th November - Playgroup Wednesday morning 27th November - Girls’ Brigade awards evening Wednesday 27th November - Crossroads Community Meal (Salvation Army) Thursday evening 28th November - Boys’ Brigade awards evening Friday 29th November - Church Sunday 1st December – Roydon will be preaching - Fellowship lunch after church Sunday 1 December – bring a plate to share
What happens next: While Roydon is here, we will conduct our final interview with him. After the visit, if Roydon wishes to proceed with the call the Pastoral Search Team will decide if we are recommending Roydon to be called as our Pastor. If this is the case we ask you to tentatively save the date for a special members meeting on Sunday 15th December, to vote on the pastoral call.

ROSTERING TIME FOR OCTOBER - DECEMBERA just two spots are remaining on the current rosters, they are for: CHURCH GARDENING/MOWING - December 28th TERRY PICKUP - December 15th If you can assist with any of these roles within our church family, please place your name on the rosters on the small table at the back of the church/foyer. CROSSROADSCrossroads is a community meal provided by Christians from local churches for the benefit of anyone in Mount Isa. We do this to share the love of Jesus in a family-friendly, life-giving atmosphere. TIME: 6 PM to 7:30 PM WHERE: Salvos Verandah entry is via Helen Street. |
