PASTORAL SEARCH UPDATE

PASTORAL SEARCH UPDATE

The Pastoral Search Team met for the eleventh time on Wednesday 7th  February.

By the time this update is circulated the 21 days of prayer will have come to an end. We thank those that contributed to our prayer meetings and we trust that you found the prayer time beneficial.

Also by the time this update is circulated the church review forums will have been completed. Once again thanks to everyone who came along and contributed.

The next phase for the pastoral search team will be to process all of the information gathered from the surveys and forums, with a view to creating a church profile and pastor profile.

Please come and speak to us if you have any questions, and of course don’t stop praying.

Yours in Christ,
Gary, Danielle, Hugo, Christine and Christie

"Life Matters" Living in our Strange New World - Darren Shelton

Colson Fellow Program Australasia

Introducing Guest Speaker Darren Shelton
Australasia Director for the Colson Fellows Program for The Colson Center For Christian Worldview
23 - 25 February, Mount Isa

Darren Shelton will be speaking on the following topics:

Life Matters

Relating Biblical themes to current topical issues and discussing how we can respond by engaging with culture lovingly and restoratively whilst standing on the Rock of Truth.

Your Worldview Matters

What is a Biblical Worldview and how do we know it to be the one true lense through which we can truly interpret the world and understand reality?

You Matter

How does being created in the image of God bear upon our identity and sexuality, abortion and life, racism and equality, and social justice issues in contemporary society?

Truth Matters

In a day of ‘your truth’ and ‘my truth’, what is ‘the truth’?  How does Jesus’ Truth and the Biblical Worldview stack up?

Your Life Matters

How is the Church to join with God in his glorious restorative work in our work places, our places of education, our homes, our friendships, and in every other corner of our communities?
