Boys' Brigade FAQs


Q: When is BB held?

A: Every Friday during school terms, starting at 6pm. Ages 5-11 finish at 7.30pm, ages 12 and up finish at 9pm. Sometimes we have camps or excursions, but we will let you know when those are coming up.

Q: Where is BB held?

Mount Isa Baptist Church, cnr Isa and Deighton Streets. Sometimes we have camps or excursions, but we will always get your permission to take the boys off-site.

Q: Do you have a Girls' Brigade?

A: Yes - the girls meet on Wednesday nights. Check them out here.

Q: My son would like to give BB a try - what do I do next?

A: You can just "show up" one Friday night at 6pm - at any time of the year. We will require you to complete a registration form before he can participate in any activities.

You may trial BB without committing to purchasing a uniform or paying fees for up to 5 weeks.

Q: Do we have to attend Mount Isa Baptist Church to join BB?

A: No, you don't have to attend any church to be part of BB.

Q: How do I pay my BB fees?

A: You will be sent an invoice for fees, uniforms, camp fees etc.

Unfortunately our leaders are unable to accept cash, please pay by direct deposit.

Q: Do I have to let you know if my son is absent?

Yes, please do so by completing this form. Badges are dependent on attendance. However to be fair, sometimes "explained" absences may still be counted towards your son's attendance.
